Disclaimer: Yes, we are super late posting this, but we have been so busy working on our Marriage Mondays Posts, that we have fallen a bit behind on our wedding blogging. So, we are back to sharing the loveliness of our couples!
We loved meeting these two last year at a coffee shop to discuss their vision, and if we would be a good fit for each other. Allen and I walked away from the meeting just hoping and praying they would be as excited about working with us as we were with them! When we got the confirmation that we'd be working together, we have to admit that we did a little dance. They are seriously one of the "coolest" couples! And although we knew we had what it would take to give them a great experience and capture their day beautifully, we certainly do not consider ourselves to be "cool". Ha-ha! We were delighted they would choose us!
To top it off, they are both so amicable and easy to work with. We can honestly say we enjoyed every single minute working with them! And this property...Triple Crown in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida! Wow! Such a beautiful place. The house and backyard and beach access were such a perfect combo for this quaint and elegant wedding.
When we walked in to begin photographing, and the makeup artist had the bride in the perfect light, I almost started squealing (or maybe I did. Not sure). I knew that moment it was going to be one amazing day! The bride, Kara, was already so full of joy and the bridesmaids getting ready were so delightful and kind to be with. It is so important to choose carefully who you will surround yourself with on one of the most important days of your lives! She choose well, and so did the groom! Not only were the bridesmaids super sweet and so unassuming, but Allen had an absolutely blast photographing the groomsmen! He loves it when the guys will be a little crazy in order to get some really cool shots.
Another highlight of this wedding was when the groom, Zach, had his parents walk him down the aisle, and then Kara did the same. When it was their time to come down the stairs, leading to the beach, they linked arms with their parents at the bottom and walked in together. We have never seen it done that way, but absolutely loved it! What a way to honor your parents. Then in the middle of the ceremony, Kara & Zach took a moment to have communion together...in spite of the chilling wind. One of our favorite things about photographing weddings is watching a couple make their wedding unique to fit their personalities and desires. This one was certainly no exception!
From Kara's first look with her dad, to their first look together (insert another squeal!!!!), to the "I-dos", and then the jazz band at the reception, we were in photographer's heaven snapping away throughout the day. The best part though was watching these two adore each other and knowing that they truly put each other first in their relationship. They are so chilled out and such a beautiful fit for one another. Even months later, as we prep this blog post, we still are grinning from ear to ear and can't believe we got to bea part of this special day!
We hope you can feel the sun on your face, the wind in your hair, and the love these two have for one another in these photos! Enjoy!
Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Zach Brown!!! May you always put each other first and adore each other for a lifetime!!
